Kate Therrian

Kate Therrian is a textile artist, illustrator and graphic designer living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She was born in Newark, NY in 1988 and spent the greater part of her childhood outside of Cleveland, OH. Completing one year at SCAD and continuing on to Pratt Institute she earned her BFA in Fashion Design in 2012. Therrian’s work often revolves around the exploration of the human existence, its make up and its global reach. Her work has been shown in group exhibitions including Pratt Photography Faculty and Staff Exhibition, Pratt Photography Gallery (Brooklyn, NY, 2018); Small Works Art Show, Greenpoint Gallery (Brooklyn, NY, 2015); Pratt + Paper & Ralph Pucci, Macy’s Herald Square (New York, NY, 2011); Pratt + Paper & Ralph Pucci, Ralph Pucci International (New York, NY, 2010). She published her first book of illustrations worldPOWER (Oranbeg Press, Brooklyn, NY) in 2017. Her first solo exhibition Insides will be opening this August at The Emerson (Brooklyn, NY).
